how to read a door style
Family is the silhouette: shaker, slim shaker, slab, raised panel, applied molding, beaded, glass or mullion. Overlay is how the door meets the box: inset sits flush inside a face frame, full overlay covers it, frameless has no frame at all. Profile is the detail: stile and rail width, inside edge, panel style. Most doors are offered in a dozen or more finishes; open any door to see the full set.
