three generations of millwork

The cabinetry side of The Kitchen Guy.

millwork first

Avi learned joinery from his father and spent years building architectural millwork before the first kitchen carried the family name. That is the lens we still specify cabinetry through: a door is a piece of furniture, a reveal is a decision, and a finish has to survive a decade of hands.

Asaf — @TheKitchenGuy to 1.2 million followers — brought the eye and the camera. Ori, the third generation, brought the showrooms: first in Manhattan's design district on East 58th Street, then in Cedarhurst for Long Island. Both exist so you can open a drawer before you order forty of them.

The full family story, and the kitchens we design and build, are on thekitchenguy.pro.

why a cabinetry showroom

Most of the kitchens we build start with the same question: which cabinetry? Three private-label collections — TKG Inset, TKG Standard and TKG Custom — are the answer we arrived at after years of specifying other people's lines. This site is the catalog: every door, every finish, every combination, with the information an architect or a homeowner needs to specify it.

Full kitchen design and construction is a separate studio with its own site: thekitchenguy.pro. The cabinetry here is what goes into those kitchens — and into kitchens built by other contractors and designers across the city.
