The Door
Carroll is a raised-panel door from the TKG Inset collection: framed, inset, and built to furniture-grade standards. The center panel rises toward the middle, so the door has depth and catches light differently through the day.
It is also available flush inset, with the door sitting level with the cabinet frame. In a room, it reads as joinery rather than casework. Traditional in character, restrained enough to sit comfortably in a transitional plan.
Where It Works
This door suits rooms that already have architecture. In a pre-war apartment with plaster walls and tall casings, it feels native. In a brownstone, it belongs with the parlor-level proportions and period millwork.
On Long Island, it fits colonials and Tudors, as well as newer houses built with a traditional bias. In a new build in Miami, a painted version brings some formality to a plan with plenty of glass. In a loft, a dark stained version offers a counterpoint to brick and steel.
Choosing a Finish
It is offered in Paint Grade Maple, Cherry, Hard Maple, Alder, Walnut, and Red Oak, with 71 finishes in total.
For warmth, try Walnut Chestnut or Hard Maple Toffee. For depth, Walnut Storm, Walnut Umber, or Hard Maple Truffle. Dusk and Pebble are quiet grays, and Gallery White Distressed adds texture to a white kitchen. See the full range on the finishes page.
Practical Notes
Wipe with a soft damp cloth and dry right away. A soft brush clears dust from the panel edges.
Stained woods show their grain, and that variation is part of the appeal. Paint grade maple gives a smoother, more even painted surface.
For hardware, cup pulls and simple knobs suit the profile. Unlacquered brass and aged bronze both work well.
Lead time is 10–14 weeks. Pricing starts from $1200/LF, cabinetry only. Compare other profiles in door styles, or contact us to see a sample.
