Irving in every finish
The Door
A raised-panel door in the TKG Inset collection, Irving is framed, inset and built to furniture-grade standards. The center panel is raised, so each door carries soft shadow lines that move with the light.
In a room it reads as composed and traditional, restrained enough to sit in a transitional kitchen. Full overlay is available when you want a fuller face.
Where It Works in New York and Beyond
Pre-war apartments and brownstones are the natural fit. Plaster moldings, tall ceilings and parlor-floor proportions ask for a door with some profile, and a raised panel answers in kind.
On Long Island, it suits center-hall colonials and renovated capes. In a new build, it adds architectural detail a plain plan lacks. In Miami, a painted version keeps a traditional layout bright. In a loft, use it sparingly: one run against brick or concrete, with plainer doors elsewhere.
Choosing a Finish
Seven species are offered: White Oak, Cherry, Hard Maple, Paint Grade Maple, Red Birch, Walnut and Red Oak, with 70 finishes in all.
Stains show the wood. Hard Maple Chestnut, Saddle and Bourbon are medium tones, and Hard Maple Navy runs dark. Paint suits the profile well: Gallery White and Chalk for brightness, Atlantic for a blue with presence. Ink Crackle is a textured black for a kitchen that wants character. Browse all finishes.
Practical Notes
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry right away. Paint on Paint Grade Maple stays smooth, while open-grain oak shows its texture through color. Stain lets the grain vary from board to board, which is part of the appeal.
For hardware, choose simple cup pulls, bin pulls or round knobs and let the panel carry the detail.
Lead time is 10–14 weeks, with pricing from $1,200/LF, cabinetry only. Compare other door styles, explore the TKG Inset collection, or contact us.
