Fifth Avenue in every finish
The door
This is a framed, raised-panel door, set flush within the cabinet frame. The center panel rises gently toward the middle, and the surrounding frame stays square. The shadow lines are crisp rather than soft.
In a room, it reads as furniture: composed and a little formal. It looks like part of the architecture, not an addition to it. Fifth Avenue belongs to the TKG Inset collection, and it is also available full overlay if you want the same panel with a different reveal.
Where it works in New York
The door suits pre-war apartments, where plaster moldings and herringbone floors already set a traditional tone. It is equally at home in brownstone parlor floors and garden-level kitchens, and in Long Island colonials and Tudors.
In transitional new builds, from Nassau County to Miami, it adds some architectural weight. In a loft, use it sparingly. One wall in black against exposed brick is enough.
Choosing a finish
The door comes in eight woods: Paint Grade Maple, White Oak, Cherry, Hard Maple, Alder, Walnut, Red Birch, and Red Oak. It is offered in 77 finishes.
For paint, Pearl is a soft off-white and Harbor Mist a quiet gray. Ink gives you a black that makes the raised panel the focus. For stain, Walnut Wheat is dark, Walnut Chestnut and Cherry Chestnut are medium, and White Oak Wheat keeps the wood natural. Browse the full range on our finishes page.
Practical notes
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry right away. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
Painted doors can show a hairline at the frame joints as the seasons change. Stained wood shows its grain, and cherry deepens with light.
Cup pulls and slim bar pulls suit the panel well, and so do simple round knobs.
Lead time is 10–14 weeks, and pricing starts from $1200/LF, cabinetry only. Compare other profiles in door styles or contact us.
