The Door
Beekman is a raised-panel door from the TKG Inset collection: framed, furniture-grade, with a center panel that rises to catch light along its edges.
In a room, it reads as millwork rather than a cabinet front. It looks composed and familiar, and it holds up next to plaster moldings and old floors. Full overlay is available if you want the same profile with a flatter, more continuous face.
It is offered in Paint Grade Maple, Rift Cut White Oak, Quarter Sawn White Oak, Cherry, Hard Maple, Walnut, and Red Oak.
Where It Works
The door suits traditional and transitional rooms. That covers a pre-war co-op kitchen with original casings, a brownstone where the kitchen sits beside a parlor floor, and a Long Island center-hall colonial that wants warmth without costume.
It also works in a loft. Against brick and steel, a raised panel in dark oak adds the weight those rooms often lack. In a Miami or Long Island new build, it gives a transitional plan some architectural memory.
Choosing a Finish
For light rooms, Lace is a clean white and Dune is a softer off-white. Cobalt suits a island or a single run of base cabinets. Chalk Crackle adds texture, so it rewards close viewing.
For natural wood, Hard Maple Natural and Hard Maple Caramel keep the door warm and quiet. Rift Cut White Oak Storm and Black Coffee go darker and let the grain carry the room. Browse all 82 on the finishes page.
Practical Notes
Wipe with a soft damp cloth and dry right away. Skip abrasive cleaners, especially on crackle and dark stains.
Oak shows open grain through stain, while painted maple stays smooth and even. Solid wood moves with the seasons, so expect fine, natural movement at the joints.
Unlacquered brass, aged bronze, and simple porcelain knobs suit the profile. Keep pulls modest, since the panel already supplies the detail.
Lead time is 10–14 weeks. Pricing starts at $1200/LF, cabinetry only. See other profiles in door styles, or contact us to request a sample.
