The color
Cherry Bourbon is a medium wood tone with a red-brown core, stained into cherry so the grain stays visible. The satin sheen hides fingerprints and still catches a little light along door edges.
In north light it settles toward brown and reads calm. South light pulls out the red and amber. Under warm LEDs it deepens and glows, so choose 2700K bulbs for richness or go slightly cooler to keep it restrained.
What to pair it with
Honed white marble or a quiet quartzite keeps the wood from feeling heavy. Soapstone goes darker and moodier.
Unlacquered brass and aged bronze echo the warmth, while blackened steel adds contrast. For floors, try wide-plank white oak with a matte finish, or honed limestone.
It comes on Astor, Riverside, Chelsea, Perry Wide, Perry Metal and Vanderbilt doors, from raised-panel to slab. Browse TKG Inset and door styles.
Where it belongs
Prewar co-ops and brownstones, where cherry already feels at home. Long Island colonials and Tudors, where it suits the millwork. It also warms a modern loft kitchen in a slab door such as Perry Wide.
Care and durability
Stain leaves the wood visible, so grain and tone vary from door to door. Wipe with a soft damp cloth and dry right away. Keep standing water away from the sink and dishwasher edges.
Cherry deepens gradually with light, so expect it to richen over time. Compare it with other finishes or contact us for a sample.
