The color
This finish is a medium wood tone in matte laminate, set between honey and walnut with a calm brown undertone. The low sheen keeps reflections down, so you notice the color rather than glare.
In north light, the brown cools and deepens toward walnut. South light draws out the warmth and opens it toward amber. Under warm LEDs, around 2700K to 3000K, it turns rounder and more golden. At 3500K it holds closer to neutral.
What to pair it with
Pale counters give it room: honed white quartzite or a soft limestone look. For contrast, try a charcoal, soapstone-style surface.
Brushed brass and aged bronze deepen the warmth. Blackened steel sharpens it. Brushed nickel keeps the palette cooler.
On the floor, wide-plank white oak in a pale, natural finish works well, and gray terrazzo suits a more urban room. Stay a step lighter or darker than the cabinets rather than matching the tone.
Where it fits
It suits prewar Manhattan co-op kitchens, brownstone garden levels, and Long Island colonials or split-levels with a rear addition. It is also a steady choice for rooms with limited daylight.

Care and durability
Laminate is a sealed, printed surface, and the matte sheen hides fingerprints better than gloss. Wipe with a soft damp cloth and mild soap, then dry.
