The color
Vineyard is a medium wood in a matte laminate. It is a settled brown with a trace of red underneath, neither honey nor walnut.
In north light the red recedes and the wood turns cooler and quieter. In south light it moves toward amber, and the grain gains depth. Under warm LEDs, around 2700K, it deepens and glows. At 3000K it stays more even. Look at a sample in your own room at the hour you cook most.
What to pair it with
White quartz with soft gray veining keeps the wood from feeling heavy. A honed charcoal stone makes the room moodier.
Brushed brass and blackened steel suit the warmth of the brown. Satin nickel cools it slightly.
For floors, pale white oak or gray terrazzo gives a clear contrast. Avoid a floor that almost matches, because two close browns read as a mistake.
Where it works
Matte medium wood holds its own in a prewar apartment with one window, and it suits a brownstone parlor floor. On Long Island it grounds a split-level or ranch kitchen that needs warmth without a heavy grain.
It comes on Lispenard Slab for a flat, quiet face and Lispenard Frame for a shaker profile. Both belong to TKG Inset. Compare profiles in door styles or see other options in finishes.
Care and durability
Laminate is a stable, sealed surface that resists everyday wear. The matte sheen is forgiving of fingerprints.
Wipe with a soft cloth and mild soap, and dry afterward. Skip abrasive pads and solvent cleaners. Keep steam and direct heat away from door edges.
