How the color reads
Glacier is a matte laminate in a light wood tone. It is pale and calm, with a fine grain that stays in the background.
In north light, it cools toward a soft gray-beige and the grain is easier to see. In south light, it warms to pale wheat. Under warm LEDs near 2700K, it leans honey. If you want it to stay neutral at night, specify 3000K.
What to pair it with
Honed white quartzite keeps the palette light and soft. A deep charcoal quartz gives the pale wood a clear edge.
For metals, brushed stainless keeps things crisp, while unlacquered brass will warm with age. Blackened steel works well for open shelves and pulls.
On the floor, wide-plank white oak gives a tonal, low-contrast room. Gray limestone or terrazzo with warm flecks gives more definition.
It is available on Wooster Slab, Wooster Slim, and Wooster Shaker in TKG Inset. Compare profiles in door styles or browse all finishes.
Where it belongs
Light wood suits the narrow, window-poor kitchens of prewar co-ops and Manhattan apartments. It also works in Brooklyn townhouses, where it sits quietly beside original millwork. On Long Island, it fits ranches and split-levels that need a brighter, more open kitchen.
Care and durability
Laminate is a stable, practical surface. Wipe it with a damp microfiber cloth and mild soap, and avoid abrasive pads. The matte sheen hides fingerprints well. Keep standing water off edges near the sink and dishwasher. Laminate can't be sanded or refinished like real wood, so protect it from direct heat. Questions about your space? Contact us.
