How the color reads
White Oak Driftwood sits between gray and beige, with the oak grain clearly visible. The satin sheen keeps it quiet.
In north light it cools and settles toward soft gray. In south light it warms to sand, and the grain becomes more pronounced. Under warm LEDs around 2700K it moves toward honey, so choose 3000K if you want it to stay neutral.
What to pair it with
Honed white marble, soapstone and matte quartz in a flat white all suit it. Avoid heavily veined stone with strong warm tones.
Unlacquered brass warms the gray. Satin nickel or blackened steel keeps it crisp.
For floors, try pale limestone, or walnut-toned boards for contrast. Orange-leaning red oak will fight the undertone.
Where it belongs
It works well in prewar apartments with limited daylight, where it brightens a room without turning stark. Brownstone kitchens, Long Island beach houses and North Shore colonials suit it equally.
It comes on Clinton Wide, Lenox, Perry Wide, Perry, Shelter Island and Varick. Browse the TKG Inset collection or compare door styles.
Care and durability
Wipe with a soft damp cloth and dry right away. Use mild soap only, and skip abrasive pads and steam.
Keep water off the doors near the sink and dishwasher. Natural wood varies, so expect grain differences from door to door. Long direct sun can shift the tone over time.
