The color
Red Birch Natural is a satin stain that keeps the wood in view. The field is honey-gold, the undertone a soft rose, and the grain fine and even.
In north light it settles into a calm, slightly cooler tan, with the red pulled back. South light warms it toward amber and brings the copper cast forward. Under warm LEDs near 2700K, expect a deeper, golden glow. At 3000K it reads cleaner and more honeyed.
What to pair it with
Honed white marble or a warm white quartz keeps the wood from drifting orange. Soapstone makes it look richer and more settled.
For metals, unlacquered brass echoes the undertone, while blackened steel adds contrast. Choose floors that differ from the cabinets: pale limestone, dark-stained oak, or gray terrazzo.
Where it works
In Brooklyn brownstones and prewar co-ops, Henry Street (beaded) and Irving (raised-panel) suit the architecture. Crosby and Perry, both slab, fit condos and lofts. On Long Island, Remsen Wide (shaker) and Montague (applied-molding) sit well in colonials and updated ranches.

Care and durability
This is a stain on real wood, so the grain stays visible and no two doors match exactly. Wipe spills promptly. Clean with a soft damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Avoid abrasives and ammonia-based sprays.
Wood moves with humidity, and light exposure warms the tone gradually. For samples, see finishes or contact us.
