The color in your light
Cherry Natural is a satin stain on cherry. The wood stays visible: a warm red-amber tone, a fine grain, small shifts from board to board. Nothing is painted over.
North light cools it toward a quiet russet brown. South light brings out the red and amber, and the satin sheen catches a soft glow. Under warm LEDs the color deepens and leans toward copper. Cherry also darkens gently with light over the years, so expect it to settle richer.
What to pair it with
Counters: honed white marble or a pale quartzite keeps the wood in front. Deep charcoal stone gives a sharper contrast.
Metals: unlacquered brass and aged bronze echo the warmth. Blackened steel tightens it. Polished chrome tends to read cold beside it.
Floors: wide-plank white oak in a pale matte finish, or honed limestone tile. Skip red-toned floors, which compete with the cherry.
Slab doors (Perry Wide, Perry Metal, Mercer, Bond) leave the grain uninterrupted. Raised-panel Irving and Carroll lean traditional. Browse door styles or the full TKG Inset collection.
Where it belongs
Prewar apartments and brownstones, where original trim and plaster already carry warmth. Long Island colonials and split-levels with generous windows, where the color has room to shift through the day.
Care and durability
Wipe with a soft damp cloth and dry right away. Use mild soap only, and avoid abrasive pads and harsh cleaners. Dry up standing water around the sink and dishwasher.
Stain shows the wood's natural variation, so small differences in tone are part of the finish. See more at finishes or contact us for a sample.
