The color in three lights
Quartered Anigre is a natural wood veneer in a satin sheen. The tone is pale honey with a rosy-gold undertone, and the grain runs in long, even stripes.
In north light it cools toward sand and oatmeal. South light pulls out the gold and gives the stripe more depth. Under warm LEDs the surface moves toward amber, so choose 3000K to keep it light and 2700K if you want the glow.
What to pair it with
Honed white marble or a grey-veined quartzite keeps the wood from going yellow. Soapstone gives a darker contrast.
Brushed brass and champagne bronze extend the warmth. Blackened steel or stainless give it an edge.
For floors, choose matte white oak, pale terrazzo, or a clearly darker stained oak. Avoid floors that sit close to the cabinet tone.
Where it works
In prewar apartments and brownstones with limited light, the satin surface holds the glow without glare. On Long Island it suits shore houses and renovated colonials, where the grain adds calm to open plans.
It sits in our Exotic group within TKG Inset and comes on most door styles. Browse door styles or compare finishes.
Care and durability
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry right away. Skip abrasive pads and harsh sprays. Keep standing water away from the sink and dishwasher edges.
Wood veneer changes slowly with sun exposure, and grain varies from door to door. Both are part of the material. For samples, contact us.
