The color in your light
Peak is a pale, matte light wood with a quiet grain. It is meant to sit back and let the room lead.
In north light it leans cool and soft, close to bleached oak. In south light it warms toward straw and honey without turning yellow. Under warm LEDs it picks up a creamy glow, so choose 2700K for a softer room or 3000K to keep it neutral.
What to pair it with
Honed Carrara, white quartzite and soapstone all work on the counter. Each lets the wood stay the lighter element.
For metals, choose brushed brass for warmth or blackened steel for contrast. Brushed nickel keeps things cooler.
Underfoot, a deeper white oak or gray limestone gives the cabinets some separation. Avoid matching the floor exactly. Available on Wooster Slim, Wooster Shaker and Wooster Slab, so the same finish can read modern or traditional. See all door styles.
Where it fits
This finish suits north-facing prewar kitchens, where it brightens without glare. It also works in brownstone parlor floors, compact galley layouts, and open-plan Long Island colonials and ranches. Browse the full TKG Inset collection to see how it sits alongside other doors.
Care and durability
Laminate is a practical surface. Wipe with a damp microfiber cloth and mild soap, and skip abrasive pads. The matte sheen hides fingerprints better than gloss.
Dry spills near edges and seams promptly. Keep steam from kettles and dishwashers away from door edges, and use trivets for hot pans.
