The color

White Oak Honey is a natural wood stain: golden, not orange, with the open grain left visible and a satin sheen that stays quiet.

In north light it softens and leans toward straw. In south light it warms to amber and the grain lines deepen. Under warm LEDs at 2700K it turns richer and more golden, while 3000K keeps it closer to true. Check a sample in your own room, at noon and at night.

What to pair it with

Honed white quartzite or soapstone gives it contrast. A pale, softly veined marble keeps the room bright.

Unlacquered brass leans into the warmth and will patina alongside it. Blackened steel or satin nickel cools it down.

For floors, choose pale limestone or a charcoal slate. Avoid a floor in a similar honey tone, because the two will compete.

Where it works

Slab doors suit Manhattan condos and loft conversions. Vanderbilt, Crosby and Bond let the grain carry the room. In prewar co-ops and Brooklyn brownstones, Lenox and Henry Street give the wood a more traditional frame.

On Long Island, Clinton Wide fits colonials and split-levels well. Browse the full TKG Inset collection or compare door styles.

Care and durability

Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry right away. Skip abrasive cleaners. Wipe standing water near the sink and dishwasher promptly.

Natural wood varies, so grain and tone will differ slightly from door to door. Sun exposure can gradually shift the tone over time. See more finishes or contact us for a sample.
