The color in three lights
Gallery White Distressed is a soft, slightly warm white with a satin sheen and a textured surface. The distressing breaks up the color, so it reads as layered rather than flat.
In north light it cools toward a gentle gray-white. In south light it warms to cream. Under warm LEDs at 2700K to 3000K, it settles into ivory.
What to pair it with
Honed Carrara or soapstone counters keep the palette quiet, while walnut butcher block adds contrast. Unlacquered brass and aged nickel suit the texture, and blackened steel sharpens it. Underfoot, wide-plank white oak or tumbled limestone continues the softness.
Where it suits
Prewar apartments and brownstones benefit from a white that forgives uneven walls and low light. Long Island colonials and Capes gain a lived-in calm.
Choose it on Clinton Wide shaker, Beekman raised-panel, or Montague applied-molding, all within TKG Inset.
Care and durability
This is a textured painted finish on paint grade maple. Wipe with a soft damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Use a soft brush for recesses where dust settles. Skip abrasive pads and harsh solvents.
Because distressing is part of the look, small nicks settle in rather than stand out. Compare samples in finishes, or contact us to see a door in person.
