The color
Gallery White is a satin paint on Paint Grade Maple: a clean white with just enough softness to feel lived in rather than clinical.
In north light it stays cool and even, a calm white that doesn't chase the gray outside. In south light it brightens and warms, and the satin sheen shows a gentle gradient across each door. Under warm LEDs it leans creamy. Hold a door sample against your actual bulbs before you decide.
What to pair it with
Honed marble or soapstone counters both work, as does white oak butcher block on an island. Choose unlacquered brass, blackened steel, or polished nickel for hardware and faucets. For floors, wide-plank white oak, slate tile, or a honed gray terrazzo will keep the room grounded.
Where it fits
Columbus, with its applied molding, suits prewar co-ops and brownstones. The slab doors (Perry, Mercer, Mott, Varick and Ludlow 3) fit condos, lofts, and renovated Long Island ranches and colonials. Browse door styles or the full TKG Inset collection.
Care and durability
Satin paint wipes clean with a soft damp cloth and mild soap. Skip abrasive pads and ammonia cleaners, and dry splashes near the sink and range.
Maple moves with seasonal humidity, so a hairline at a joint in winter is normal. For touch-ups, contact us, or see more finishes.
