The color
Blanc is a satin white paint, opaque and even, with just enough warmth to keep it from reading clinical.
In north light it cools slightly and settles toward soft gray along the door profiles. In south light it brightens and the satin sheen picks up a gentle glow. Under warm LEDs it leans toward cream, so choose 2700K to 3000K bulbs if you want it soft rather than yellow.
What to pair it with
Honed marble with gray veining keeps the palette quiet. Soapstone or a deep green stone gives contrast.
For metals, unlacquered brass will warm with age against the white. Polished nickel stays crisp, and blackened steel adds weight.
On the floor, wide-plank white oak with a matte finish suits it well. So does honed slate-gray tile.
Where it suits
Blanc works in prewar apartments and brownstone kitchens where north-facing windows need brightness without glare. On Long Island, it fits colonials, Capes, and renovated ranches.
It is offered on Lispenard Frame (shaker) and Lispenard Slab, among other profiles. Browse the TKG Inset collection or compare door styles.
Care and durability
A painted satin surface wipes clean with a soft damp cloth and mild soap. Dry it afterward, and skip abrasive pads and ammonia-based cleaners.
Wipe away steam and condensation near the dishwasher and range. If a door is nicked, contact us about touch-up. See more finishes.
