The color
Almond is an off-white with a trace of cream, kept quiet by a matte laminate surface. With no sheen, the tone reads as color rather than reflection.
In north light, the cream settles back and the finish looks cool and calm, close to a warm greige-white. In south light it opens up and warms, staying even from door to door. Under warm LEDs it leans creamier, so choose 3000K if you want a cleaner white.
What to pair it with
Honed white marble with soft gray veining keeps the palette gentle. Soapstone or dark honed granite gives it contrast. Walnut butcher block adds warmth without competing.
Unlacquered brass and aged bronze suit the cream undertone. Blackened steel sharpens it, and polished nickel cools it. For floors, wide-plank white oak is a natural match. Slate-toned tile also works. Skip stark bright-white tile, which can make the cabinets look dingy beside it.
Where it works
It suits prewar apartments with limited daylight, brownstone kitchens, and Long Island colonials and capes where the kitchen opens to a family room. Choose the Lispenard Frame for a shaker profile in older homes, or the Lispenard Slab for a flatter, more modern face. Browse door styles or the TKG Inset collection.
Care and durability
Laminate is nonporous and resists staining, so daily care is simple. Wipe with a damp microfiber cloth and mild soap, then dry. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh solvents, which can dull a matte surface.
Wipe spills promptly near edges and seams, and keep steam and heat away from door faces. Compare other finishes, or contact us to see a sample.
