Union in every finish
The door
Union is a framed door with applied molding set around a flat recessed center panel. The molding adds a step of shadow, and the flat panel keeps the face calm. It reads as furniture, closer to a library cabinet than a catalog kitchen.
It is available flush inset or full overlay. Flush inset sits level within the frame for a crisp, tailored grid. Full overlay gives a softer, more continuous face. Both belong to the TKG Inset collection, and you can compare other profiles under door styles.
Where it works
This door suits traditional and transitional rooms. In a pre-war apartment on the Upper West Side, it sits comfortably against plaster walls and original casings. In a Brooklyn brownstone, it suits a parlor-floor kitchen with tall ceilings and period trim.
On Long Island, it fits colonial and Tudor-style houses. In a new build in Miami or Manhattan, it adds architectural detail to rooms that lack it. In a loft, a painted version softens brick and steel.
Choosing a finish
The door comes in Paint Grade Maple, White Oak, Rift Cut White Oak, Cherry, Hard Maple, Alder, Walnut, Red Birch and Red Oak. Pearl is a clean off-white paint. For light wood, look at Hard Maple Icicle or Rift Cut White Oak Frost. Cherry Natural suits a warmer room.
For depth, consider Hard Maple Charcoal, Rift Cut White Oak Storm, Black Coffee or Umber. These are a few of 94 options in finishes.
Practical notes
Clean with a soft, damp cloth and dry right away, especially where the molding meets the frame. Paint shows the profile through shadow alone. Stain shows the grain, and rift cut keeps it straight and quiet.
For hardware, knobs and cup pulls in brass or bronze suit the profile. Choose a finish that is clearly warmer or darker than the door.
Lead time is 10–14 weeks. Pricing starts from $1200/LF, cabinetry only. To talk through a layout, contact us.
