Crosby in every finish
The door itself
Crosby is a slab door: a flat center panel with no raised field and no applied detail. It belongs to TKG Inset, our framed, furniture-grade line, and it comes in full overlay or flush inset.
In a room it reads as calm and deliberate. Flush inset gives a crisp, tailored reveal. Full overlay gives a more continuous plane. In both, the wood or color does the talking.
Where it works in NYC and Long Island
In a pre-war apartment, the slab face sits quietly beside plaster walls and original millwork. In a brownstone, walnut or cherry in flush inset suits the parlor-floor details without imitating them.
Lofts take the darker finishes well against brick and steel. New builds, and Miami condos with their clean lines and strong light, suit paint. On Long Island, it gives a colonial or split-level renovation a modern, transitional footing.
Choosing a finish
The door comes in Paint Grade Maple, White Oak, Cherry, Hard Maple, Alder, Walnut, Red Birch and Red Oak.
For natural wood, look at Cherry Wheat, Cherry Natural, Alder Wheat or White Oak Wheat. For paint, Silver is a cool gray and Ivy is a considered green. Ink Crackle and Ink Distressed give black a textured surface. Browse all 77 on the finishes page.
Practical notes
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry straight away. Stained wood shows its grain and varies from door to door, which is part of the appeal. Paint gives a more uniform surface, and oak keeps some grain character even under color.
Slab doors pair well with slim bar pulls, edge pulls or a minimal knob. Keep the hardware quiet.
Lead time is 10–14 weeks. Pricing starts from $1200/LF, cabinetry only. Compare other door styles or contact us to see samples.
