Mercer Wide in every finish
The door
Mercer Wide is a slab door set in a frame. The center panel is flat, with no raised field and no routed profile. It belongs to the TKG Inset collection, so the door sits inside the cabinet frame rather than on top of it.
Three constructions are available. Flush inset gives the quietest face, with tight, even reveals. Beaded inset adds a fine shadow line around each door. Full overlay covers the frame for a more continuous surface.
In a room it reads as calm and architectural. It suits modern and transitional kitchens.
Where it works
In a pre-war apartment with plaster walls and tall ceilings, the flat panel lets the architecture lead. In a brownstone, beaded inset in paint sits easily beside original millwork.
In a loft, long runs of rift cut white oak hold their own against brick and steel. In a new build on Long Island or in Manhattan, the inset frame adds the depth that drywall boxes tend to lack.
Choosing a finish
The door comes in Paint Grade Maple, Rift Cut White Oak, Cherry, Hard Maple and Walnut, with 79 finishes in all.
For paint, Dusk is a soft gray and Plaster a warm off-white. Gallery White Distressed is a textured white.
Lighter woods include Hard Maple Honey and Rift Cut White Oak Snow. For darker tones, look at Walnut Wheat, Rift Cut White Oak Black Coffee and Hard Maple Black Coffee.
Practical notes
A flat panel wipes clean with a soft damp cloth and mild soap. Dry it afterward.
Paint gives a uniform surface, while stained oak, maple and walnut show their own grain. Slim bar pulls and small knobs suit flush inset, and an edge pull works well on full overlay.
Lead time is 10–14 weeks. Pricing starts at $1200/LF, cabinetry only. Contact us to see samples, or browse more door styles.
