Pier Steel in every finish

finish pairings for this door are being set up.

The door

Pier Steel is a flat slab door in metal. The center panel is slab, so there are no rails, stiles or routed lines. The face is one plane, and light moves across it without interruption.

It belongs to the TKG Inset collection, which means a framed, furniture-grade case behind the door. Full overlay is also available if you prefer the faces to close the frame completely.

In a room, it reads as calm and precise. It is a surface more than a frame.

Where it works

Lofts in SoHo, Tribeca and DUMBO already have brick, concrete and steel windows. This door belongs among them.

In a pre-war apartment, a single run in metal sits well against plaster walls and tall casings. The contrast is quiet and deliberate.

Brownstones suit it on the garden level, where a modern kitchen can sit apart from the parlor floors above. New builds on Long Island and in Miami can use it for long, uninterrupted runs.

Choosing a finish

This door is offered in metal, and the material sets the tone for the whole room. Judge it in your own light. A north-facing Brooklyn kitchen and a south-facing Miami one will show the same surface very differently.

Browse the finishes page, then ask for a sample to hold against your stone, flooring and walls. Wood, honed stone and plaster all pair well with metal. Compare it with other profiles in door styles.

Practical notes

Metal has no grain to match from door to door, so a run looks consistent. Clean it with a soft cloth and mild soap, and avoid abrasive pads.

A slab face suits slim pulls, edge pulls or finger grooves. Keep hardware minimal so the door stays the focus.

Lead time is 10–14 weeks. Pricing starts at $1200/LF, cabinetry only. Contact us to talk through your layout.
