The door

The Lispenard Frame is a shaker door with a flat recessed center panel, part of the TKG Inset collection. It sits flush inside the cabinet frame and leaves a fine, even reveal on every side.

In a room, it reads as furniture rather than a wall of boxes. The profile is squared and quiet, with enough structure for a traditional kitchen and enough restraint for a transitional one. Full overlay is available if you prefer a continuous face to a reveal.

Where it works

Pre-war apartments with plaster walls, picture rails and deep casings. Brownstones with original millwork and tall parlor-floor rooms. Long Island colonials and center-hall houses that call for cabinetry with some history in its lines.

It also suits a new build that lacks architecture of its own, because the frame adds detail without ornament. In a loft, a dark finish against brick or concrete gives the door a graphic edge.

Choosing a finish

There are 11 finishes. Among the paints, Blanc is a clean white, Carbon Light a soft gray, and Pewter Sand a greige that warms north-facing rooms. Carbon and Noir are the blacks.

For wood tone, the laminates Metro Oak, Vineyard and Cascade Pine all sit in the medium range. See the full range on the finishes page.

Practical notes

Wipe with a soft damp cloth and mild soap, and dry the surface afterward. Skip abrasive pads and harsh solvents. Dark paints show dust and fingerprints sooner than light ones, so allow for that in a busy kitchen.

Wood-tone laminates carry their grain across the frame and panel. Painted doors read as one even color.

Slim bar pulls, small knobs and cup pulls all suit the frame. Keep the hardware simple and let the reveal do the work.

Lead time is 10–14 weeks. Pricing starts at $1200 per linear foot, cabinetry only. Compare other profiles in door styles, or contact us to see a sample.
