Half Arch Seven in every finish
The door
Half Arch Seven is an inset mullion door with a glass center panel, made in hard maple for the TKG Inset collection. Inset construction seats the door flush inside a framed opening, so frame, reveal and glass read as furniture rather than a box with fronts.
The arched line in the mullion softens the usual grid. Lit from inside, the glass turns a run of uppers into a display case. It is traditional in character and restrained enough for a transitional room.
Where it works
Pre-war apartments on the Upper West Side and in Brooklyn Heights already have the plaster, casing and ceiling height this door expects. In a brownstone, glazed uppers flanking a window carry parlor-floor detailing into the kitchen.
On Long Island, colonial and Tudor-style houses take it naturally. In Coral Gables, it suits a Mediterranean-style house with a formal dining room next door.
In a new build, a few glazed doors against plainer cabinetry add the character drywall lacks. Lofts are the harder case. Use it sparingly there, as a single glazed run against open space.
Choosing a finish
All 16 finishes are stains on hard maple, so the grain stays visible. Light tones such as Driftwood and Icicle keep a small kitchen open. Caramel, Honey and Toffee bring warmth to older rooms. Navy, Black Coffee and Truffle make the arch and mullion read in sharp relief against the glass. See the full range on the finishes page.
Practical notes
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry right away. Keep glass cleaner on the glass only.
Stain lets maple's fine grain show, and slight variation between doors is part of the material. Look at a sample in your own light before you commit.
For hardware, choose slim bar pulls or small knobs in unlacquered brass, bronze or nickel. One pull per door is enough.
Lead time is 10–14 weeks. Pricing starts at $1200/LF, cabinetry only. Compare other profiles in door styles, or contact us to see a sample.
