The Door
Clinton Wide is a shaker door built for inset construction. It sits flush inside the cabinet frame, with a flat recessed center panel and a broad, calm frame around it. A beaded inset option adds a fine routed line at the opening for a more tailored look.
In a room it reads as furniture rather than casework. The shadow lines are crisp, the panel stays quiet, and the wood does the talking. It belongs to TKG Inset, our framed, furniture-grade collection.
Where It Works in New York Housing
Pre-war apartments on the Upper West Side and in Brooklyn Heights suit it well. Plaster walls, deep casings and herringbone floors call for restraint, and this door supplies it.
In a brownstone, a stained cherry or walnut kitchen belongs with the parlor-floor millwork. On Long Island, it fits colonials and Tudors, and new transitional builds in Nassau and Miami-Dade, where a traditional door needs a cleaner line. In a loft, paint it or choose a light oak to balance brick and steel.
Compare it with other profiles in door styles.
Choosing a Finish
Eight woods are available, with 77 finishes across them. A few to start with:
- Dark: Alder Storm, Hard Maple Black Coffee
- Medium: Cherry Auburn, Cherry Chestnut
- Natural and light: Cherry Wheat, White Oak Driftwood, Hard Maple Driftwood
- White, textured: Gallery White Distressed

Practical Notes
Wipe with a soft damp cloth and dry right away. Mild soap is enough, and abrasive cleaners are not needed.
Paint Grade Maple takes paint smoothly, with little grain showing. Oak keeps an open grain under stain or paint. Cherry deepens gradually with light, which is part of its character.
Hardware matters more on inset. Cup pulls, knobs and slim bar pulls all work, and the beaded option favors smaller, more traditional forms.
Lead time is 10–14 weeks. Pricing starts at $1200/LF, cabinetry only. Contact us to see a sample.
