Greenwich in every finish

finish pairings for this door are being set up.

The door

Greenwich is a slab door in metal: one flat plane with no rails, no stiles and no routed detail. It belongs to the TKG Inset collection, so it is framed and furniture-grade. Full overlay is available if you want the doors to cover the frame rather than sit flush within it.

In a room it reads as precise and quiet. The shadow lines do the drawing, and the metal surface catches light in a way paint or veneer does not.

Where it works in New York and Long Island

It suits modern and transitional kitchens best.

In a loft, the flat metal faces sit comfortably beside steel windows and concrete. In a new build, they give a long run of cabinetry a continuous, calm face. In a pre-war apartment, they contrast well with plaster walls and original millwork. A brownstone kitchen can use them as the modern counterpoint to period moldings. In a Miami condo or an open Long Island plan, they keep the kitchen composed when it is seen from the living space.

Choosing a finish

With metal, the decision comes down to tone and sheen. Cooler tones sharpen a room, and warmer ones soften it. Sheen matters more on a flat door than on any other style, because there is no profile to break up reflections.

Look at a sample in your own light, morning and evening, before you decide. Our finishes page is the place to start.

Practical notes

Metal has no wood grain, so there is nothing to match from door to door. Clean with a soft damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Avoid abrasive pads.

A slab face pairs well with slim bar pulls, edge pulls or push-to-open hardware. Keep the hardware finish related to the door tone.

Lead time is 10–14 weeks. Pricing starts from $1200/LF, cabinetry only. Compare other profiles under door styles, or contact us to see a sample.
