Gramercy in every finish
The door
Gramercy is an applied-molding door with a flat recessed center panel. The molding is built up around the panel, so the profile throws a fine shadow line without the heft of a deep raised field. In a room it reads as composed and a little formal: traditional in structure, quiet in detail.
It belongs to TKG Inset, our framed, furniture-grade inset line. Choose full overlay for an unbroken paneled face, or flush inset for the crisp reveal that makes cabinetry look built like furniture. Compare profiles on the door styles page.
Where it works
Pre-war co-ops, with plaster walls and picture-rail trim, take this door naturally. In a brownstone, flush inset in stained cherry or walnut sits easily beside original millwork.
Long Island colonials and new builds that want a traditional kitchen without ornament suit it too. In a loft, a painted full overlay softens brick and steel without competing with them.
Choosing a finish
Six species are offered: Paint Grade Maple, Rift Cut White Oak, Cherry, Hard Maple, Walnut and Red Oak, across 81 finishes.
Hard Maple Toffee and Cherry Honey keep the wood warm and natural. Walnut Moss, Hard Maple Saddle and Cherry Auburn move to medium tones. For weight, choose Hard Maple Black Coffee or Onyx. Cream is the soft painted option. Browse them all in finishes.
Practical notes
Paint gives a smooth, even surface with no grain. Stain shows each species' character, from the straight lines of rift cut white oak to cherry, which deepens with light.
Wipe with a soft damp cloth and dry promptly. Because the molding already frames the panel, keep hardware modest: slim bar pulls or round knobs in brass, nickel or black.
Lead time is 10–14 weeks. Pricing starts from $1200/LF, cabinetry only. Talk to us about your layout.
