The door

Cross Four is a mullion door with a glass center panel, built inset. The door sits flush inside the cabinet frame, with a narrow, even reveal on every side. It belongs to our TKG Inset collection, and the construction is furniture-grade.

In a room, it reads as a display cabinet rather than a utility one. The mullions give the glass structure, and the glass puts glassware, plates and ceramics to work as part of the design.

Where it works in NYC and Long Island

Pre-war apartments are the natural fit, especially kitchens with plaster moldings or a built-in china cabinet to echo. In a brownstone, use it on a butler's pantry or the parlor-floor kitchen, where inset doors match the era's joinery.

On Long Island, it suits colonials and Tudor-style houses. In a loft, a few glazed doors against brick or steel add a softer, handmade note. In a new build, they give a flat, open plan some architecture.

Choosing a finish

Cross Four is offered in Hard Maple, with 16 finishes. Honey keeps the wood warm and natural. Icicle and Driftwood are lighter and suit kitchens that need brightness.

Storm, Navy, Charcoal, Mocha and Black Coffee are the dark stains. Dark frames make the glass read as an outline, and they look especially good in brownstones and pre-war rooms. See the full range on the finishes page.

Practical notes

Wipe the glass with glass cleaner, sprayed onto the cloth rather than the door. Clean the stained frames with a soft cloth and mild soap, then dry them.

Hard Maple has a tight grain. Stain keeps it visible, so expect natural variation from door to door. For an opaque color, ask us.

The frame is slim, so choose hardware with a light touch: a small knob or a narrow bar pull in brass, bronze or nickel.

Lead time is 10–14 weeks. Pricing starts at $1200/LF, cabinetry only. Compare other profiles under door styles.
