Cold Spring in every finish
The door
Cold Spring is a beaded door from our TKG Inset collection: inset, framed, and built to furniture standards. A fine bead follows the inside edge of the frame, and the center panel sits flat and recessed.
In a room, it reads as detailed but calm. The bead adds a thin line of shadow, and the flat panel keeps the surface quiet. Choose full overlay or flush inset, depending on how much of the frame you want to show.
Where it works
This door suits pre-war apartments with plaster walls and original casings, and brownstone parlor-floor kitchens where millwork already sets the tone. It fits Long Island colonials and Tudors, and new builds that want some inherited character.
In a loft, it offers a counterpoint. Beaded detail against brick, steel windows, or concrete softens the room without making it fussy.

- Paint: Ivy, a deep green, shows off the bead and suits a pre-war room.
- Natural wood: Rift Cut White Oak Wheat, Hard Maple Wheat, and Alder Caramel keep things light and warm.
- Medium wood: Hard Maple Saddle and Walnut Moss sit between light and dark.
- Dark wood: Rift Cut White Oak Umber and Hard Maple Truffle give a library-like depth.
Practical notes
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry right away. Use a soft brush to clear dust from the bead, especially on painted doors.
Rift cut oak has a straight, linear grain. Walnut and alder vary more from door to door, which is part of their appeal. Paint grade maple takes an even, smooth coat.
Pair the door with simple hardware, such as small knobs or slim pulls, so the bead stays the detail that stands out.
