The door
Amagansett is a beaded inset door from the TKG Inset collection. The door sits flush inside a framed face, and a small bead traces the opening where door meets frame. The center panel is flat and recessed, so the detail stays at the edges and the field stays calm.
In a room it reads as furniture rather than cabinetry. It is traditional in structure and restrained in line, which is why it works in both transitional and traditional kitchens.
Where it works
Pre-war co-ops on the Upper West Side and in Brooklyn Heights already carry plaster moldings and heavy casings. A beaded walnut door belongs among them.
In a brownstone, it suits a parlor-floor or garden-level kitchen where the millwork is original or carefully restored.
On Long Island, it fits colonial and shingle-style houses and new builds that want traditional character. In a Miami new build, it brings warmth to a lot of white plaster and stone. In a loft, it makes a deliberate contrast to brick and steel.
Choosing a finish
Walnut is the only wood offered, in seven stains. Bourbon, Chestnut and Moss are medium tones. Wheat, Natural, Storm and Umber are dark. Bourbon and Chestnut are the warmest of the medium group, and Moss is the quietest.
Look at samples in the room's own light, beside your counter and floor. See the full range on the finishes page.
Practical notes
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry right away. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh cleaners.
These are stains, so the grain stays visible. Expect variation from door to door, which is part of real walnut.
Because the bead already supplies detail, keep hardware simple: a plain knob or a slim bar pull in brass, bronze or blackened steel.
Lead time is 10–14 weeks. Pricing starts at $1200/LF, cabinetry only. Browse other door styles or contact us to see a sample.
