Lispenard Slab in every finish
The door
Lispenard Slab is a flat door with nothing to interrupt it. The center panel is slab, held in a framed, furniture-grade inset build from the TKG Inset collection. Full overlay is also available if you want a continuous face.
In a room, it reads as calm and architectural. The detail comes from the fine reveals around each door and the finish you choose.
Where it works
Pre-war apartments often have plaster moldings, original casings and tight galley layouts. A slab door keeps the cabinetry quiet next to all that. In a brownstone, a wood-toned finish sits comfortably beside parlor-floor millwork, while a dark paint gives the kitchen a clear edge.
Lofts and new builds suit it too. Long, uninterrupted runs in Tribeca, Long Island City or Miami are where a flat face looks best. It fits modern and transitional rooms equally well.
Choosing a finish
There are 11 finishes, and on a slab door the finish does all the work. A few to start with:
- Paint: Carbon (black), Blanc (white)
- Light and off-white: Aspen (light wood), Almond (off-white)
- Medium wood: Barnwood, Cascade Pine, Vineyard, Metro Oak
Browse the full range on the finishes page and request samples before you decide.
Practical notes
Clean with a soft damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Flat surfaces show fingerprints and dust more readily, especially in dark paint like Carbon.
The wood finishes are laminate, so the grain stays consistent from door to door. Paint reads as one even, uninterrupted color.
Slab doors pair well with bar pulls, edge pulls or simple knobs. Keep hardware minimal and let the reveals stay visible.
Lead time is 10–14 weeks. Pricing starts at $1200/LF, cabinetry only. Compare other profiles under door styles, or contact us to talk through your kitchen.
