The color
Verdant is a green with depth rather than volume, finished in satin on paint grade maple. The surface is opaque and smooth, with a soft glow instead of a shine.
In north light it cools and deepens, closer to a shaded leaf. In south light it warms and opens up toward fresh herb. Under warm LEDs the yellow in the green comes forward, and evenings feel rounder and softer.
What to pair it with
Honed white marble or soapstone counters both work. Marble keeps the room bright, and soapstone leans moody.
Unlacquered brass will age alongside the green. Aged bronze is quieter, and blackened steel gives crisp contrast.
For floors, try wide-plank white oak with a natural finish, or honed limestone in a checkerboard.
Where it works
Prewar apartments and brownstones with north-facing kitchens suit it well. Pair it with Lenox or Irving for a room that feels original to the building. On Long Island, it belongs in Cape, Colonial and shingle-style kitchens that get strong southern exposure.
For lofts and newer builds, Ludlow 3 in slab or Remsen Wide in shaker keeps it clean. Cold Spring and Cold Spring II add beading for a more traditional look. It is part of TKG Inset, and you can compare profiles under door styles.
Care and durability
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and a little mild soap, then dry. Skip abrasive pads and ammonia-based sprays. Clean splashes near the sink and range promptly.
Painted cabinets are a living finish, and high-touch edges may show wear over the years. See more under finishes, or contact us about samples and touch-ups.
