The color

Ivy is a satin green closer to a shaded leaf than a garden. The core is gray, the undertone faintly black, and the effect is calm at a distance and deeper up close.

North light cools it and pushes it toward slate. South light opens it up and brings out the green. Under warm LEDs, around 2700K to 3000K, it drifts toward olive and softens at the edges.

What to pair it with

Honed white marble or soapstone keeps the green dark and settled. Warm quartzite gives a softer room. Unlacquered brass will age toward brown against it, aged bronze nearly disappears into it, and polished nickel adds a cooler edge.

Wide-plank white oak or honed limestone underfoot keeps the room light. For doors, beaded Henry Street or Cold Spring II lean traditional, while Hudson and Bleecker keep it flat and modern. Union and Irving sit in between. Browse them all in door styles.

Where it works

Prewar apartments with a single window benefit from the depth. Brownstone kitchens carry it well alongside original millwork, and Long Island colonials have the wall space for a full run. It is part of the TKG Inset collection.

Care and durability

The paint sits on Paint Grade Maple, a closed-grain wood that takes a smooth, even coat. Satin hides fingerprints better than gloss.

Wipe with a soft damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Skip abrasive pads and ammonia cleaners. Painted edges can chip under hard impact, but touch-ups are simple. Compare samples in finishes or contact us.
